Zen Meditation for Life in Kyoto
Kyoto has been the principal home of Zen since its introduction to Japan from China at the beginning of the 13th century. Kyoto is therefore rightly famous for its Zen-influenced gardens, etc. However, the heart of Zen is the practice of meditation, for meditation is the very meaning of the word âZen.â Given this, it is ironic there are few opportunities for short-term visitors to Kyoto to have more than a brief introduction to Zen meditation while visiting Zen temples. Thus, this workshop is unique in providing an extended, in-depth introduction to both the theory and practice of meditation (zazen) under the guidance of American-born, SĆtĆ Zen Buddhist priest and scholar Rev. Dr. Brian Victoria. Rev. Victoria will introduce you to both the theory and practice of Zen meditation, employing traditional meditation cushions (or chairs if needed) in a private meditation hall. By workshop completion, participants will become confident in their ability to continue meditating on their own.

Nature & Island Exploration on SUP/Kayak
Iâll give you a brief introduction on the basics of paddleboarding and kayaking before we head out onto the water to explore a lush mangrove jungle. As we wind our way through narrow canals, weâll be on the lookout for all different types of wildlife including; manatees, iguanas, birds, crabs, fish, raccoons even possibly dolphins. Weâll explore the natural wonders of the area for a couple hours before making our way into so mangrove tunnels where we will relax, swim and enjoy a delicious fresh fruit snack and drinks . Including; watermelon, cantaloupe, banana. Drinks included and totally free all you can drink; gatorade, soda and water. After we are all full and everyone is ready to go we will head back to shore. There is never a rush for time. Please keep in mind the manatees and dolphins we are spotting are wild animals roaming a large area. They are seen less often in the summer months. Don't worry there will still be many beautiful plants and animals to see and learn about.
Kayak Gozo and Comino Guided Kayak Adventure
Join Kayak Gozo - the 2025 Gozo Tourism Awards Winner - for an unforgettable kayaking experience! Weâll take a kayak adventure to beautiful Comino â exploring caves, crystal waters, gorgeous bays, beaches or rock formations (weather dependent)! This experience is a half-day guided tour (10am - 1pm or 2:30pm-5:30pm) from Gozo to Comino. We'll either head clockwise past Santa Marija towards the Blue Lagoon or the reverse route. You will see amazing caves, bays and rock formations. Please understand that all tours are weather-dependent and not all areas/routes may be accessible. This tour is for beginners and experienced kayakers. The tour has 2.5 hours of kayaking and includes 30 min break. In the break, you can swim, relax and explore on land! If needed, the guide will teach you the basics and make sure you feel comfortable! This is an active adventure, so a basic level of fitness and swimming ability required. Bioluminescent Bay Kayak Trip from Vieques
Vieques Kayaks Bio Bay excursions are guided in solid and semi clear bottom kayaks through the glowing waters of Mosquito Bay, located on the island of Vieques, Puerto Rico. Mosquito Bay is the brightest Bioluminescent Bay in the world! Children age five and older are welcome to join the tour with a parent or adult, so long as a ticket is purchased for each participant. To do our tour, guests MUST BE aware that Vieques is an island apart from Puerto Rico so you will need to take a ferry from Ceiba or a plane from San Juan or Ceiba and stay overnight at the island. Prepare to enjoy a kayak tour, for about 2 hours, where you will meet and explore some caves. The tours are conducted in small groups so that participants get the most out of the experience. Our experience begins at the beach of La Marina, considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, ending in the most famous cave in Europe, the Benagil algae. Along the way, we will make stops to appreciate the coastal slope, learn some local stories, take photos and, if possible, land on deserted beaches. The tour ends at the same place where it started, in Praia da Marinha, and you can enjoy and spend the rest of the day on the beach.
